Question 1

Where can I buy used appliances in Connecticut?

Accepted Answer

Connecticut Appliances sells used, refurbished, open-box and scratch & dent appliances online and delivers them to homes in all 8 Connecticut counties. There is no showroom or customer pickup — every order is delivered.

Question 2

Are refurbished appliances reliable?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every unit passes a multi-point inspection — full cycle run, leak check, motor and compressor testing, and a deep clean — before it is listed. Certified Refurbished and Open Box units include a 90-day warranty; Scratch & Dent and Tested Pre-Owned include 60 days.

Question 3

How does rent-to-own work?

Accepted Answer

Rent-to-own lets you take the appliance home now and pay over time. The total rent-to-own cost is 2x the cash price, split into 12 monthly or 26 bi-weekly payments. Submit a quick pre-qualification form on any product page to get started.

Question 4

Do you deliver to my town?

Accepted Answer

We deliver across Fairfield, Hartford, Litchfield, Middlesex, New Haven, New London, Tolland and Windham counties. Enter your ZIP code in the delivery checker to confirm.

Question 5

Can you install the appliance and take my old one away?

Accepted Answer

Yes. At checkout you can add white-glove delivery, hookup & installation, and old appliance haul-away.

Question 6

What is the difference between scratch & dent and refurbished?

Accepted Answer

Scratch & dent units are mechanically new or like-new with cosmetic marks. Certified refurbished units were previously used, then repaired with replaced worn parts and fully tested.

Question 7

Can I hold an appliance before buying?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Place a refundable hold deposit on any unit and we'll reserve it while you confirm measurements or delivery date.

Question 8

Why can't I pick up my appliance?

Accepted Answer

We operate as a delivery-only warehouse to keep prices low. Delivery ensures your appliance arrives safely and can be installed and tested in place.
